The Men's Ministry at Fairfax First Baptist Church is committed to building godly men to serve Christ in their home, church, career and community. This statement is pursued through a variety of initiatives, events and activities. The Men's Ministry places great emphasis on developing relationships in and among the men in the area for furthering encouragement and support of men in their walk with Christ.
The Men's Ministry began a partnership with the Board of Deacons and the Allendale-Hampton Baptist Association to schedule home repair and maintenance projects where men of the church will work together to provide needed support. This might be a home of a congregation member, or it might include work on a church or other buildings in our community.
Our most recent projects have been a Mission trip with the Youth of our church to Wilmington, NC. There we worked with WARM (Wilmington Area Rebuilding Ministry), an organization which provides meaningful work that changes lives in a setting that encourages group unity, spiritual enrichment, and a sense of satisfaction that comes only from helping others.
We have also done work on our Church parking lot and helped several congregation families struggling with health issues by working on their homes.
This ministry meets the 2nd Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at the Church. A meal is provided at each meeting. For further information, contact Butch Sauls at 803-632-2348 or the Church office at 803-632-3228.
